When we talk about Hollywood couples who are strong and loving, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are definitely a duo that comes to mind!
The couple has been married for more than thirty years, marking their 35th wedding anniversary this year (they shared a cute old photo on social media).
Even though they both worked in showbiz for a long time, there was a time when they were losing a lot of money.
In 2009, Bacon and Sedgwick’s lives took a drastic turn when they were implicated in the notorious Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme, resulting in a loss of approximately $30 million, as reported by StyleCaster. Bacon candidly shared on the SmartLess podcast last year that this financial hit was a significant blow, representing “most of our money”.
Several well-known personalities and public figures fell victim to fraudulent financial schemes orchestrated by Madoff, despite being just a small fraction of the total number of victims.

There are definitely some good lessons to take away from that experience. If something sounds too good to be true, it most likely is,” Bacon shared with Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes. “When things go wrong, you just have to stay strong, keep pushing, and keep going.”Even though they faced a challenge, Bacon, who is 65 years old, and Sedgwick, who is 58 years old, decided to turn it into a chance to think about the good things in life. “We’ve come a long way, our kids are doing well, we’re healthy, you know? Let’s focus on the positive things we have,” he said during the October, 2022 podcast.
After feeling embarrassed, Bacon and Sedgwick decided to leave the spotlight and Hollywood in general, and instead, they found happiness on a peaceful farm in Connecticut.
Over time, the actors started to share bits and pieces of their everyday lives on social media. Sedgwick, in particular, posted a bunch of videos on TikTok featuring her and their goats. Now, more people know her for that than for her acting!
People said, ‘We love when you sing with the goats.’ Kevin and I were like, ‘Cool, have you watched our movies or TV shows?’ But it makes people happy,” the actress and producer shared with People magazine in March.
It’s cool that Bacon and Sedgwick aren’t the only famous people who like living on a farm. Jennifer Garner, a well-known actress, bought the farm where her mom grew up and turned it into a project for making organic baby food.
