Friends transformed her life entirely. “Prior to Friends, I had experienced approximately seven hundred unsuccessful shows, and I had no reason to think that Friends would turn out any differently. Just before its premiere, the director, Jimmy Burrows—whom I affectionately refer to as Papa—invited the six of us to Las Vegas. He treated us to dinner and remarked, ‘You have no idea what you are about to begin. It is essential that you look after one another,’ Jennifer recounted.

In reference to her recent film, Cake, she expressed her pleasure in portraying a character that required minimal makeup. “It was incredibly empowering and liberating to simply apply scars to my face. The only occasion I needed to spend time in the makeup chair was for the scars,” she shared with E!Online.
